Family Wealth Planning in the Current Environment

We are pleased to announce that Carl C. Fiore, Managing Director, Andersen Tax, will be our guest speaker on the subject of Charitable Planning in the Current Environment at our October 22nd Dinner Meeting at Giovanni’s II in Darien. Cash bar and cocktails will begin at 5:45 p.m., followed by dinner promptly at 6:30 p.m., speaker at 7:30 p.m., and we anticipate an end to the meeting between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Please note that the membership will be voting on several amendments to the Council bylaws at this meeting.

This one-hour presentation will cover the subject of charitable planning from the basics to the more complex. Mr. Fiore will talk about the current tax environment, working with high net worth individuals and families and the need for integrated planning, and charitable remainder trusts and lead trusts. Also discussed will be charitable gift of remainder interest in residence and charitable easements.

Carl Fiore has significant experience with tax and financial matters affecting entrepreneurs, executives and other high net worth individuals. He has worked with numerous families and closely held businesses to develop and implement wealth maximization plans through the use of family entities, income tax planning, stock option planning, charitable giving strategies, and effective gift and estate tax planning.Carl’s primary practice areas are gift and estate planning as well as fiduciary income tax. He also has experience in federal and state income tax consulting and compliance for individuals, partnerships, fiduciaries, estates, corporations and private foundations. Carl is a lead member of the firm’s estate planning group, which has extensive experience in serving the estate, gift, and fiduciary tax consulting and compliance needs of corporate and private trustees as well as individuals. Carl has also been published in Trusts & Estates. Before joining Andersen Tax (previously WTAS LL), Carl worked in the Private Client Services practice of Arthur Andersen, and as a trusts and estates associate at Capell and Vishnick.
