Breakfast Meeting: Security Concerns for the High Net Worth Family

Security Concerns for the High Net Worth Family will be the subject of our Breakfast Meeting on Wednesday, January 19, featuring guest speaker Christopher Falkenberg,  Founder,  Insite Security, Inc. Breakfast Meeting participation is free and limited to Council Members – no guests – and attendance is limited to twenty-five (25) individuals to encourage active discussion.

Christopher Falkenberg is a former Special Agent of the U.S. Secret Service and an attorney. While with the Secret Service, Mr. Falkenberg conducted numerous protective advances for the President of the United States and other government officials here and abroad. He led investigations of major fraud cases and worked on successful prosecution and sentencing of the perpetrators. Among his awards and citations, he received the Treasury Department's Special Service Award and was recognized for heroism following the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. As a litigator with New York law firm Davis Polk & Wardwell, Mr. Falkenberg conducted corporate internal investigations and was involved in a wide variety of civil and criminal matters. Prior to that, Mr. Falkenberg clerked for a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Kenyon College and a J.D. from Columbia University, both with honors. Insite Security is a United States-based security and risk management firm that services corporations and high net worth individuals. The company was founded by security expert Christopher Falkenberg in 2002 and is headquartered in New York City, with regional offices in Greenwich, Connecticut and Washington, D.C. Insite Security consults with Fortune 1000 companies and high net worth individuals on threat assessments and management, executive and family protection, security training, evacuation training, workplace security and emergency preparedness. Insite offers retainer-based independent security consulting as well as "off the shelf" security programs for corporations that either do not have security staff in-house or that want to outsource this function to save money and reduce headcount.

Council Breakfast Meetings are held at the Westport Public Library (Arnold Bernhard Plaza – Levitt Pavilion Main Entrance), Westport, Connecticut, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The library has asked that attendees arrive promptly at 8:00. They open the door for us at 8:00 even though the library doesn't open until 9:00. Since the library will open early to accommodate us, their Coffee Shop will not be open for service during our meeting. Please feel free to bring coffee, tea, bagels, etc. to the meeting. There is a Starbucks Coffee diagonally across from the Westport Library on the Post Road and Oscar’s Deli is located on Main Street.

We also request that “No Shows” be minimized.
 
If we must cancel a breakfast meeting, an email will be sent to all registrants for whom we have an email address and we will make every effort to contact all registrants by phone as well. If you are unable to check your email or voice messages, please visit our website at www.epclfc.org where the cancellation announcement will be posted on our home page under “Next Meeting”. Except in unusual circumstances, we would know about the cancellation by 4:00 p.m. the afternoon prior to a breakfast meeting.
