Practical Ways to Avoid an Estate and Gift Tax Audit

We are pleased to announce that Richard H. Murray, Supervisory Attorney, IRS Estate and Gift Tax Division - Northeast, will be our guest speaker on the subject of Practical Ways to Avoid an Estate and Gift Tax Audit at our May 4th Annual Meeting & Dinner Program. Cash bar and cocktails will begin at 5:45 p.m., followed by dinner promptly at 6:30 p.m., speaker at 7:30 p.m., and we anticipate an end to the meeting between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.  

Richard Murray is a Supervisory Attorney-Estate Tax for the IRS Small Business/Self Employed Division, Specialty Tax, Northeast Territory. He has been with the Service since 1971 in the Estate Tax Area and has served on the Review Staff insuring cases meet all IRS criteria, correct tax computations and conform to The IRC and Regulations. Mr. Murray served as Staff Assistant to the Examination Division in Boston. He was assigned to the Andover Service Center from 1981 to 1983 for claims and return processing.  Mr. Murray is a frequent speaker for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Estate Planning Groups, local Bar Associations and CPA Groups in Massachusetts and Connecticut. He has taught a number of courses within the IRS. Mr. Murray selected software for Estate Tax interrelated computations and reports. He has taught at and worked with the Cincinnati Service Center as the new centralized location for Estate Tax submissions and processing. He has been Supervisory Attorney since 1989 in Boston.
