We are pleased to announce that David Lehn, Esq., Partner & MD, Greenwich, Withers Bergman LLP, will be the guest speaker on U.S. and CT Tax Law Update: Regulations and Casesat our “members only” breakfast meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., at The Westport Library.
 
David Lehn is a tax attorney with extensive experience in Federal and state income, estate and gift taxation. With David's wide range of business and financial knowledge, his clients look to him to apply his experience to structure complex business transactions and relationships and solve a variety of business-oriented problems. He represents a variety of clients, including investors, entrepreneurs, senior level executives, family offices and private equity fund managers. His practice includes entity planning, structuring investments and acquisitions and formation of ownership vehicles, asset protection and preservation, business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and addressing the myriad of issues that face high net worth individuals and their families. David lectures frequently on a variety of tax areas, including individual income and estate tax planning as well as corporate and business tax issues. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association (Tax Section), American Bar Association (Tax Division), Connecticut Hedge Fund Association, Estate Planning Council of Lower Fairfield County, Association for Corporate Growth and United States Golf Association. David is the current Chairman of the Board of the Norwalk Hospital Foundation.
 
Council Breakfast Meetings are held at the Westport Public Library (Arnold Bernhard Plaza – Levitt Pavilion Main Entrance), Westport, Connecticut, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The library has asked that attendees arrive promptly at 8:00. They open the door for us at 8:00 even though the library doesn't open until 9:00. Since the library will open early to accommodate us, their Coffee Shop will not be open for service during our meeting. Please feel free to bring coffee, tea, bagels, etc. to the meeting. There is a Starbucks Coffee diagonally across from the Westport Library on the Post Road and Oscar’s Deli is located on Main Street.
 
Reservations to attend can be made by contacting me by email  (c.armbrust@axcessvalue.com) or by telephone (203-226-3064); “first come, first served.” As a courtesy to those who attend, we request that cell phones be silenced during the session. We also request that “No Shows” be minimized.
 
If we must cancel a breakfast meeting, an email will be sent to all registrants for whom we have an email address and we will make every effort to contact all registrants by phone as well. If you are unable to check your email or voice messages, please visit our website at www.epclfc.org where the cancellation announcement will be posted on our home page under “Next Meeting.” Except in unusual circumstances, we would know about the cancellation by 4:00 p.m. the afternoon prior to a breakfast meeting.
