When A Good Estate Plan Isn't Enough
Please join us for our fall dinner program on Thursday, November 12, at The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien. We will kick off the meeting with cocktails and networking from 5:45pm to 6:30pm, followed by dinner and our educational presentation on When a Good Estate Plan Isn't Enough.
Our Program
An estate plan can be legally valid, tax-efficient, and technically sophisticated. But what happens when the client never signs it, never funds it, cannot explain it, or leaves the people affected by it unprepared?
In this interactive program, Brian and Miki Lasher will examine the human factors that influence whether sound estate-planning advice produces meaningful action. Through stories, audience discussion, and practical demonstrations, they will explore how values, family relationships, competing motivations, and implementation barriers can affect client decision-making and follow-through.
Attendees will consider how attorneys, CPAs, trust officers, financial advisors, and other professionals can recognize unresolved ambivalence, deepen client conversations, reduce barriers to implementation, and collaborate more effectively across disciplines.
Our Presenters
Brian Lasher is the founder of Euclid Harding, LLC, where he helps individuals and families navigate consequential decisions involving their lives, families, businesses, and wealth. Through Pathfinder, Euclid Harding’s strategic planning process, Brian helps clients clarify what matters most, organize complex and interconnected priorities, and create a practical roadmap for moving forward. His work focuses on helping clients translate sound advice into meaningful action through thoughtful implementation, accountability, and coordination among attorneys, CPAs, investment professionals, and other trusted advisors. Brian is particularly interested in how a more human and collaborative planning process can help families make better decisions and follow through on their intentions.
Miki Lasher, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, neuropsychologist, and financial behavior specialist with Euclid Harding, LLC. She brings expertise in human development, assessment, behavior, and mental health to understanding the personal and relational factors that shape consequential financial and estate-planning decisions.
