Unlocking the Mysteries of Appraisals & Auctions
Please join us for our first dinner meeting of our 2025-2026 program season on Wednesday, October 22nd, at The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien. We will kick off the meeting with cocktails and networking from 5:45pm to 6:30pm, followed by dinner and our program on Unlocking the Mysteries of Appraisals & Auctions presented by Chris Barber, VP/Director, American Furniture & Decorative Arts, Doyle.
In this engaging presentation, you will step into the fascinating world of art and estate auctions with Chris Barber as your guide. Chris will demystify the appraisal and consignment process, offering a behind-the-scenes look at how items are evaluated and prepared for auction. He'll provide insight into current market trends, discussing what's currently in demand, what's declining in value, and the factors influencing these shifts.
