International Estate Planning – Tips and Challenges
Please join us for our first dinner meeting of the new year on Wednesday, February 11th, at The Waters Edge at
Giovanni’s in Darien. We will kick off the meeting with cocktails and networking from 5:45pm to 6:30pm, followed by dinner and our program on International Estate Planning - Tips & Challenges presented by Michael W. Galligan, J.D., Co-Chair, Trusts & Estates Department, Phillips Nizer LLP.
The world is changing rapidly and there is an increasing need among clients for advice on estate planning matters involving non-citizens in the US and citizens living abroad. Join us as Michael Galligan with Phillips Nizer LLP, shares important insights and planning considerations for this growing client contingent.
Michael Galligan practices primarily in the areas of domestic and international estates and trusts, U.S. and cross-border estate and income tax planning, private international law, and immigration. With the assistance of qualified counsel in the relevant jurisdictions, Michael has worked on cross-border wealth transfer, trust, and succession projects involving well over thirty countries worldwide.
His clients include U.S. citizens and residents with property holdings abroad; non-U.S. citizens and residents who own property and invest in the United States; families whose members are citizens and residents of different countries and often own property in different countries; non-U.S. persons planning to become U.S. residents; and U.S. citizens and residents leaving the United States permanently or temporarily.

Guest Attendees: There is a registration fee of $85 per guest, payable by check, credit card, or through your bank account via Zelle, and their full name, professional designations (if any) and discipline, firm, phone, and email must be emailed to epc-lfc@comcast.net.

Guest attendance by a professional colleague is limited to two dinner meetings within a two-year period.
