Please join us for our first event of the new year, a virtual "breakfast" meeting featuring Jacob "Jake" Even, J.D., LL.M. (tax), Senior Wealth Strategist with Wealthspire Advisors, on the topic of "Setting Up a Single-Family Office: Advantages, How They Work, and When to Consider." We will kick off the presentation at 8:30am, followed by networking from 9:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

Establishing a single-family office can provide important tax savings while also enhancing investment management, charitable planning, and other benefits of value to families. The family office is not limited to the exceptionally wealthy and may be a viable structure for a broader array of clients than most realize. Join us as we explore who should consider a family office, the advantages, and how they operate.

Mr. Even is a Senior Wealth Strategist on the Family Office Services team. He specializes in advanced income tax planning, estate planning, business structuring, tax controversies, international taxation, and structuring commercial and financial transactions.

He brings several years of experience as an advanced planning attorney in a boutique tax firm servicing family offices and ultra-high net worth clients. Mr. Even also has experience as a litigation partner in an AV-rated national law firm defending clients in state courts, as a consultant for a Big Four Accounting firm structuring federal tax aspects of international outbound transactions, and as a clinical law school professor administering a tax clinic and teaching Tax Practice and Procedures.

Mr. Even has an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from St. Thomas University School of Law, and a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.
