Getting Mentioned in the Media
Would you like to be mentioned in the media? Please join us at our next dinner meeting with Jim Pavia, Money Editor at CNBC Digital, guest speaker for our February 15th Dinner Meeting at Giovanni’s II in Darien. Jim’s topic will be “Getting Mentioned in the Media.” He will offer his unique insight on how to get your message out through guest columns, as a reporter’s source etc., with a focus on how to be media savvy and prepared to do video and live TV. The format of this meeting will be our usual dinner program, with cocktails beginning at 5:45 p.m., followed by dinner promptly at 6:15 p.m.
Jim Pavia is the Money Editor at CNBC digital, overseeing two key pillars, the Financial Advisory Hub and Personal Finance. Pavia, an award-winning journalist, was formerly the editor/editorial director of Investment News where he worked for 10 years. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Malcolm S. Forbes Public Awareness Award for Excellence in Advancing Financial Understanding Among the Public. He has won several awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors, including five for Editorial Excellence in Editorial writing.
At the end of his presentation, Jim will be giving members a chance to submit article ideas to him. If these ideas are chosen you will be given the opportunity to by-line an article on CNBC.
